Bartolucci Double C Core transformers are the culmination of over 35 years experience in the design and manufacture of high quality transformers. These transformers are handcrafted in Italy by Giuseppe Bartolucci & Co.
Bartolucci's aim is to achieve high performance with a balanced mix of high technology, know-how and craftsmanship. Bartolucci believes that manufacturing high quality transformers is not only a matter of putting together fine materials or optimizing single technical parameters. Certainly, these are necessary conditions but not sufficient. Technical specification or costly materials by themselves cannot explain sonic character of a transformer. The challenge is to find the optimum trade-off between somewhat conflicting technical variables, resulting in a superior design at a competitive price.
Transformers are all the same? Many people are comparing transformers just looking at the declared technical specification. Technical specification are certainly important but do you know all the technical specification you need to make a good choice? Many audiophiles are aware that choosing a good amplifier is not only a matter of declared watts and distortion. Why this is not the same for one of the most important part of the amplifier: transformers? Let's take an example. How do we choose a Power Transformer? Some person think that power transformers do not make big differences. Maybe it's only a matter of voltages and amperes needed? Do you ever tried to change a standard power transformer with a hi-quality power transformer in the same circuit? Why Bartolucci Transfomers weight two or three times more than other brands? Do you ever ask for efficiency (better than 92% on Bartolucci power transformers) and regulation (within 0.5% for Bartolucci's) of power transformers. Why we are working with 1,00/1,30 Tesla with cores which can reach 22 Tesla? How does a commercial power transformers work in audio frequency or do you think that a power transformers needs only to work at 50 or 60Hz? How does a standard power transformers reacts when it's stressed by the audio circuit?
